Porodina's almost minimalist image of 2021 - an anonymous caped figure in a simply shaped but outsized hat - evokes a dream state recall; we seem to have encountered this presence somewhere before. A weightless specter hovering above a shadow; a blurred memory; an archetypal mystery passing through waking consciousness, it resonates.
