Dolly Faibyshev is fascinated by the effects of stylization in western culture. She can be found documenting scenes as various as high fashion shows, Dolly Parton look-a-like gatherings, Wrestlemania meets, mid-century Palm Springs settings, and - of course - Dog Shows. The scene of specialization is only the starting point for her camera which seeks out opportunistic shots that find humor, color, and moment everywhere.

This poster image composition has all the vibrant poise and character of its featured Pomeranian subjects, who stand pertly to attention following the unseen eye lines of their handlers, on a flawless lime green field of carpet. Light and shadow, form and texture, everything comes together in a winner.
