The sharply limited palette, contrasting geometric shapes, minimal elements and dynamic composition are all hallmarks of the emerging modernist aesthetic of the period. Moholy-Nagy used these same qualities in his photographic works throughout his practice, searching for unusual perspectives to capture similar forms through his lens.
