This beautiful poster from Jimmy Nelson's exhibition Before They Pass Away is a portrait of six people with yellow masks standing in front of the Ambua Falls in India.

Jimmy Nelson portrays reality. Traveling thousands of miles over five continents to photograph the native population he shows the beauty and diversity of the world in a magnificent way. Through his photographs the viewer sees the world through Nelson's eyes, a world that for various reasons is slowly disappearing.
Nelson’s passionate search for beauty could also be described as a search for belonging, which can be traced back to his childhood that was spent traveling with his father who worked as a geologist for an oil company.

At fifteen years old Nelson was wrongly diagnosed and medicated for Malaria which caused him to lose all of his hair. This sparked an interest in how people are treated based on their appearance. After spending ten years in a private Jesuit school in northern England, Nelson set foot to Tibet and began taking photos. His work in Tibet quickly became noticed internationally, which became the starting point for his career as a photographer. The dream of photographing the native population of the world could finally be realized, and he spent three years with 35 different ethnic groups in countries such as Ethiopia, Nepal, Papua New Guinea and Russia.
